Yeah, I'm on Goodreads (participate little) but I didn't recognize the distinction as Wilshire suggested. I'm not sure if that distinction is apparent outside of Goodreads though. A review and a rating do seem like two aspects of the same thing to me: a review is the reasoning by which you make your rating?

I should have clarified, I was talking about the full length reviews that you see at some sites like the Wertzone, or from book critics. It would be absurd to write a review like that if you haven't read the book in it's entirety. But saying in a few words why you did or didn't like it (or why you couldn't finish it, which is what I did btw), is a different matter, and (IMO) not that different from giving it a rating.

On Bakker's r/fantasy AMA yesterday, he answered two different questions that asked about possible future Disciple novels and he named The Enlightened Dead as the project he would on, if it were financially viable.
